So, who is dinkybox?
dinkybox is a UK based company, founded during 2004 by a small (dinky) group of creative types. Each of us have (or still do) work within the gaming, video and design industry. After realising our common passion for collecting toys we came up with the idea of promoting the work of our fellow creative's by pulling together our resources in order to create a friendly (dinky) on-line toy/manga art supplies store, and if, in the process we are able to get first dibs on all the new cool stuff in the name of 'research', well, so be it :)

How can l buy your goodies?
Simply navigate our store via the goodie list on the left hand side of the screen. When you find a goodie you would like to buy, click on the dinky 'pop in box' icon. Once you have finished popping goodies into your box, simply click the 'GO TO CHECKOUT' button above. You can add or remove items at this stage and, if you so wish, you can go back a step and shop some more!
Once you are happy with your purchase and you progress though the checkout pages, you will be asked to choose a postage option. Once you have chosen your preferred method of posting you will be asked to select a payment method. We are happy to say that we can accept payments via your credit, switch, and debit cards and also via PayPal (PayPal is currently only available for UK, USA and Canadian customers) if your account IS VERIFIED and has an ADDRESS attached to your PayPal account. PayPal payments received from customers without a verified PayPal account or accounts without attached address will need to confirm their details by reply to an email sent from dinkybox [everyone @ dinkybox. co.uk]
Please also note that we do NOT automatically accept eCheques. If you wish to pay via an eCheque PLEASE contact us prior to making your payment. If we receive an eCheque payment we will contact you via email to clarify and confirm that you are aware of the long delay associated with this method of payment. The legal bit - When you receive confirmation of your order, this only indicates that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you notification that your goodies have been dispatched. We have included this information to protect us in the case that a we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason or in the case that your payment does not clear 3D secure or that your PayPal account is not verified and/or does not include a postage address.
PLEASE NOTE: We area UK based company and, as such, all prices stated are in UK Sterling. If you live outside of the UK, your payment company will convert the UK Sterling total into your own currency based on the exchange rate of day.

How much will my postage be and when will my goodies arrive?Your postage cost will be AUTOMATICALLY calculated during the checkout process.

We make every effort to keep all postage costs to a minimum while maintaining the highest level of security and reliability possible. As such all packages are mailed via a signed for delivery service via the Royal Mail and ALL (non flat based) goodies are mailed with plenty of bubble wrap before popping inside double walled sturdy boxes. Flat based goodies such as screentone, mags and art pads etc. are mailed via extra sturdy carded envlopes with super protective edges to prevent damaged corners (we really do care you know plus all of our packaging (except the bubble wrap) is recyclable) :
UK Domestic Post - All packages are mailed via a signed for, recorded delivery service whereby a signature will be required upon arrival. The price for recorded delivery is 78p PLUS the price of first or second class delivery.
All packages have automatic insurance coverage up to £36.00 or the invoice value (whichever is the greater). All packages have a reference number which you can use (via the Royal Mail website) to see if a delivery has been attempted while you were out. Please note that any packages returned to dinkybox due to non delivery/non collection can only be re-sent if the postage is repaid. Sorry.

Do you ship internationally? YES! We are happy to post your purchase to you if you live outside of the UK* We currently post to most European countries and also to Canada, Japan, South Afriica and the USA. Please note that due to postal difficulties we no longer post to Italy.

We respectfully request that it is THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER to check on the delivery status of their purchase once dispatched by dinkybox by using the supplied reference number (which will be emailed to you by dinkybox) via the postal provider of your county (i.e. USPS in you live within the USA) to see if an attempted delivery has been made and/or if the goodie(s) are awaiting collection.Please note that your tracking number will NOT tell you where your package is, it will simply tell you when you package left the UK and if a delivery has been attempted or if your goodies are awaiting collection/re-delivery instructions.

Once a package has arrived within the destination country (i.e. it has left the care of the Royal Mail (UK postage provider) the delivery and all related correspondence/activity is solely the responsibility of the customer and the postage provider of their country and that dinkybox has NO control or influence on any delivery issues thereafter, sorry.

VERY VERY IMPORTANT - if a delivery attempt has been made or if an incorrect postage address has been supplied, any purchase returned to dinkybox thereafter can only be re-sent if the postage price is re-paid. Furthermore at NO point can or will the original postage fee be refunded under any circumstances so PLEASE make sure that you are happy to take the responsibly for the delivery of your package prior to placing an order with us and please take a few moments to check that you have supplied the correct postage information. How will my goodies be packaged? Here at dinkybox we take the upmost care when it comes to protecting your purchase.
We hand package all goodies in plenty of bubble wrap before placing inside a double walled cardboard box which we then wrap in brown kraft paper and seal with gummed tape. All flat goodies (such as pads, screentone and books/magazines etc) we send via heavy duty carded envelopes. In some instances (where our goodies have a thickness less than 25mm and a weight of 30g or less), there is also an option for jiffy bag packaging. Where appropriate the choice of a jiffy bag or box is entirely yours and can be selected at checkout, however even with this option we use extra bubble wrap for maximum protection, too.
We really do care about packaging and the price for all of these materials and personal care is all part of your postage fee, this puts us way ahead of most of our competition and if you don't believe us, just ask them about their packaging options!
In addition, wherever possible we use packaging made from recycled material and all of our packaging supplies (with the exception of bubble wrap) is completely recyclable :

What are your tax charges? As with most things within the UK, tax is included at the (current) standard rate of 17.5% where applicable. Sorry, but we cannot offer a VAT refund to overseas customers. Please also be aware that import tax may be applicable if you live overseas.Any such additional charges are solely the responisbility between the customer and the duty offices/customs officials of the receiving country.

How secure is my credit card? We take credit card security extremely seriously here at dinkybox. As such we do not process any credit card payments via our site, instead we employ the services of a respected and professional third party payment processing company, namely 'SAGEPAY'. If you opt to pay us via a credit/debit card you will be taken to the SAGEPAY website where your credi/debitt card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. Your cards are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site. In addition, all credit card payments must pass 3D secure processing which further protects your credit card from fraudulent use.
PLEASE NOTE: We can only post goodies to payments mad via SagePay that have passed the 3D secure process. This is normally very straight forward for 99% of our customers. However we respectfully wish to note that we reserve the right to refund any payment which does not clear 3D secure. If this is the case we will notify you as soon as we are able, usually within 24 working hours of receipt of your order. Please note that it is very rare that payments do not clear this process and we apologise for sounding so harsh and wish to assure you that it is nothing personal, honest :)

Confirming that you are located at the address where you receive your credit or debit card statements is one of the steps required to lift your limits.

To confirm your address by phone:

Select the phone number which matches your card billing address 7. Select either 'Call now' or 'Call in one minute' 8. Click 'Continue' 9. You will see a 'Validate your Account Information by Phone' page, with the time selected and your four-digit Phone Confirmation PIN number. Please make a note of this PIN 10. You will receive an automated phone call from PayPal and will be asked to enter your Phone Confirmation PIN. Enter the PIN on your keypad followed by the # sign to complete the process
Some points to note:
The Confirm by Phone process cannot be completed using a mobile phone Once failed, the Confirm by Phone process cannot be repeated If the process is unsuccessful you will be given the opportunity to complete the Confirm by Post process instead. In this case a letter will be sent to your card billing address. It usually takes seven to 10 business days to arrive.

Depending on your account type, the steps to get Verified will be as follows:

To Set up Bank Funding you must add your UK bank account to your PayPal account. We will then deposit two small amounts into your bank account, which you will need to find on your bank statement. You will then need to log into www.paypal.co.uk and enter the amounts correctly to confirm ownership of your bank account.

Do you offer any sort of Guarantee? Wherever possible we carefully check all goodies prior to dispatch to ensure full satisfaction upon arrival. Should you find that your goodie arrived in a damaged state we guarantee to resolve the issue as pleasantly and as quickly as possible either by supplying a replacement goodie or via a full refund. In both cases we respectfully ask that you return the faulty goodie to us prior to any replacement or refund taking place. All faults must be notified to us within 24 hours of receipt of your delivery.
Any goodie being returned to us MUST be returned via RECORDED DELIVERY and packaged in the same level of protective material as they were received. The cost of the return postage will be refunded to you by dinkybox if the goodie is found to be faulty.
Pleaes note that we make every effort to maintain our stock levels and in the unlikely event that a goodie becomes out of stock after receipt of your payment, where possible, we will contact you as soon as possible to ask if you would like an alternative goodie or a full refund, If your goodies are needed quickly and you have opted for Special Delivery if we are unable to contact you we will simply refund your payment method by the amount paid for the out of stock goodie(s) and follow up with an update on this situation ASAP. Upon your reply we will carry out your instructed immediately or as soon as possible. Do you share my email and other personal information?
NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT! Here at dinkybox we NEVER ever pass on any of the information that we receive from you. dinkybox does not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment (i.e. via PayPal/Sage Pay). In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.
Cookies are used on our shopping site to keep track of the goodies you have popped into your box, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to 'Tools | Internet Options | Privacy' and selecting to block cookies. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use cookies. Data collected by this site is only ever used to:
1. Take and fulfil customer orders 2. Administer and enhance the site and service 3. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes
Once again, your information (including your email address) is NEVER passed on to anyone except for the purpose of receiving payment via PayPal/Protx in which case these companies will never pass on your information either :)

Do you have a returns policy? Yes, we do, so please read carefully and if you have any questions, please feel free to email us, we really are nice people, honestly :)
Firstly, in the unlikely event that you have a 'change of mind' about your purchase, we ask that you email us ASAP and certainly within 7 days of receipt of your purchase. (Once 7 days have passed all sales are classed as final and no refund can be made, sorry). When contacting us, if possible please include your original purchase email address and invoice number. Sorry but if you cannot prove that you made your purchase with us, we cannot accept your return.
Please note that we can only agree to a refund (which will be made in the form of a credit note) if your goodies are returned to us in the same condition as they were received. All returned goodie(s) must be returned in the original packaging material or packaging material of the same standard as originally supplied and that all returns must be made via a SIGNED FOR delivery service. All goodie(s) MUST be popped into the post to us within 48 hours of receipt of our email confirming the acceptance of the return of your goodie(s). All credit notes will have a maximum lifespan of 1 month from the date of issue.
Finally, (the very important bit) - if you do have a change of mind, we are sorry but we CANNOT and WILL NOT refund your original postage costs and furthermore, all costs relating to the return of your goodie(s) are to be met by you (the customer) and all responsibility for the goodie(s) will remain with you (the customer) until the signed receipt of the returned goodie(s) has been made by dinkybox via the postage provider company.IN ADDTION - an administration charge of 15% (of the purchase price of your order) will also be applied to any returned goodie which has been returned simply due to a change of mind. The 15% charge will be deducted from your credit note refund so PLEASE make sure you really do want the goodie(s) BEFORE making a purchase. Thank you :)
After 7 days of receipt of your purchase all sales are classed as final.
