Welcome to our 'Modern' wind-up toy section. We've gathered together a selection of pocket money windusp that are currently available worldwide. Each of these windups (with the exception of the Mini Byte dog) are fairly basic yet we have added them as we just felt they were cute. Each figure is wound via a small white knob which collectors often term 'wkw' (i.e. white knob wind-ups). Each of these wkw figures are powered via a micro motor and once wound the toy will carry out a action such as spinning, walking, hoping, flipping etc. Please take care not to over wind your motor, 8 turns of the knob usually is enough :)

Are Sony taking notice here? This little robo pooch looks, to us, to take his stylings directly from the famous Aibo although we imagine that the fact that he's only a few inches high and is powered by the power of the wind up won't bother them too much. A quick wind and off he'll go. A flick of the switch on his head and his cycloplean eye will light up, too! This chap is really well made and very lovely.
